# How to add a Product from the Public Catalogs

## Add a Product to your Canvas:

1. Open an existing Canvas or create a New Canvas.
2. You can search through the Public Catalogs by clicking on the **My Catalog icon** in the bottom right corner of Canvas. 
   1. You can enter a query in the search or **Filter** by product Category (such as Accessories, Seating, or Tables), Condition, Buy Price, Lead Time, Manufacturer, Vendor (we have over 100 unique brands!), or Tags<mark style="color:purple;">**.**</mark> Play around with the different search options to see what works for you.
3. You can then **Sort** your search by Price, Lead Time, Manufacturer, and Name.
4. **Double click** any product image in the search to see the full product details and all its data.

**NOTE**: For those with a Pro, Studio, or Custom account, you can filter for your saved or custom/private products in **My Catalog**.

6. **Drag & drop** the product into your Canvas.
7. To bring in more than one product at once, click the **checkboxes** in the upper left hand corners of each product. Once you have checked all the boxes, simply drag and drop the products onto your Canvas.&#x20;
   1. While you are dragging, a grey "ghost" of your products will hover above your Canvas. Drop them into the Canvas when you are ready to place them.

Want to browse all of the 2D vector drawings of the products? Click on the `Image` icon within the My Catalog sidebar and toggle to **`Drawing`**.&#x20;

## Select your Product view:

Each product in the Public Catalogs has three different views available: a scaled 2D vector drawing, the product image and the detailed product card. When you place a product into your Canvas, you can easily toggle between these views.

Need all three? Copy the image so you can space plan with the scaled drawing, create a rendering with the product image or use the detailed product card to show furniture specs.

* First, add a product from our **Catalog** database into your Canvas. The default view is the **Card view** with product data. But you can browse by **Drawing view** as well.
  * You can customize the data fields you see by clicking on the **Settings** (Gear) icon.&#x20;
  * You can view all the data of the product by right clicking and choosing **View Product Details** (`cmd + I`).
* Select the first icon for the scaled 2d vector product **Drawing** and the middle icon for the **product Image.**

## Customize the Product Card view:

Want to hide some product data and only show a select few fields in the card view? No problem. Select the product card view, click the **`Settings` (Gear) icon**, and simply toggle on or off the data fields you want to show and hide on your Canvas.&#x20;

You can hide or show the image, drawing, manufacturer, name, size, price, condition, color, and URL source among many other data field types in the product card view. We want you to have full control and customizability in how you present information in your designs.

Currently, the customizable Card Settings are universal to the Canvas you are working in. Meaning, the settings you apply to one card, will apply to all the product cards on your Canvas at the same time.

## Rotate the Product:

You can rotate images and drawings of products anytime within Canvas. Rotating in any direction and angle keeps the original scale of the drawing accurate.

1. Click to **select** the drawing or image.
2. Hover your cursor over any **corner** of the selection.
3. A **curved arrow** will appear.
4. **Click and hold** as you **rotate** the drawing - the angled degrees will pop up as you rotate in either direction.
