Step 1: Open the Canvas for this Training
Product Lists, Budgets & Dashboards in Canvas 👈
This "Training Canvas" is in Preview/Viewer mode to all users - If you’d like to edit this Canvas, duplicate the Canvas and edit the duplicated version.
Use the Training Canvas to follow along as you learn how to create creative sales tools in Canvas - including an exportable spreadsheet of your furniture and accessory specifications, as well as, ROM budgets.
Helpful Tip: Have access to multiple tabs and/or screens? Make the most of your training session with Canoa University open on one monitor (referring to the Syllabus with helpful articles and the Training Checklist), and the Training Canvas open on the other.

How to use Areas:
Areas are a great way to quickly complete a ROM budget or call out the total price per square foot for a layout or room in a presentation.
How to use Product Lists:
Put all of that wonderful product data to work with Product Lists. You can rest assure you have accurate furniture counts based on your layout so throw out those highlighters!

How to create a quick ROM budget
You don't need a floor plan to start your ROM. Instead, use Frames & Areas and place your products in your Areas.
Create your Dashboard
Add discounts per line item
Download your Product List
Export your Dashboard
Creating Presentations in Canvas:
Let's use Templates to create your own presentation in Canvas
Create a ROM with Projects in Canvas and export it with Frames
Add discounts per line item
Step 3: Training Check List
Make sure you've hit all of the important topics by checking off this list.
Create a New Canvas
Either select a Blank Canvas or Choose one of Templates
Upload a floor plan
Divide the floor plan with Areas
Make sure each area has a name and is shaded a different color
Add products to different Areas
Add a Product List
Filter for specific Areas
Filter for either Drawings, Images, or Cards - observe how that changes the quantities in your Product List
Click on the Settings / Gear icon to adjust the fields shown in your Product List
Check / Uncheck different fields
Move fields up & down to re-order them
Copy-paste the Product List to maintain the column settings but change the filters
Export your Product List as a CSV and check the fields you want to export
Open the downloaded file, as well as confirm you received an email with the exported file
Add a Dashboard
Click on the Settings / Gear icon, expand all of the categories and input your project information
Include Project Discount and Project Markup
Expand the Column Settings
Customize the order of the fields
Make sure to check Areas, Discount and Markup fields
Filter your Areas and select either Drawings, Images or Cards in your Dashboard Product List
Alter the Discount and / or Markup per product line and observe how the Net Price and Sell Price changes
Adjust the size of your Dashboard
Export your Dashboard
Export as an image file (PNG, JPEG or PDF)
Export as a CSV and check the fields you want to export
Open the downloaded file, as well as confirm you received an email with the exported file
Add a Frame around your Dashboard to include in a presentation or when you select Play
Create a ROM Budget using the example shown as reference
Create and Name an Area
Populate it with products
Add a Project List and filter for the corresponding Area
Add a Dashboard and input in project details, add the Project Discount and Markup
Adjust the Column Settings to hide the Discount and Markup fields
