### Import a Canoa SIF file into Spec

### Import SIF file in Spec

Open or import SIF file from Canoa download. You may update product data against the Spec catalog to enable more option selection.

## Exporting Product Data from Spec for import into Canoa

1. Open a **SIF** file in **Spec**
2. `Export` as a **CSV**
   * Export with **Combined Product Number** if available
3. Open [<mark style="color:purple;">**CanoaGPT**</mark>](https://chatgpt.com/g/g-dkB2IDXQ3-canoagpt)
4. Ask **CanoaGPT** to create a **CSV** from the file, with a record for every **PN or Part Number** with all of the associated data fields.&#x20;
5. `Import` your **CanoaGPT** formatted **CSV** into[ <mark style="color:purple;">**Canvas**</mark>](https://www.canoa.supply/canvas) (for less than 100 products) or [<mark style="color:purple;">**Catalog Pro**</mark>](https://www.canoa.supply/catalog-pro) (for 100 products or more)
   * Match the **CSV** fields with the Canoa formatted fields
   * \*Format your **CSV** before importing to save time matching fields.  Refer to the article for step-by-step instructions.
6. Add Images and 2D drawings to your products to use in future projects and to collaborate with your team.

## Import your Canoa Product List CSV into Spec

There are 2 ways to Export a **Product List** to a CSV from Canoa&#x20;

* [<mark style="color:purple;">**Canvas**</mark> ](https://www.canoa.supply/canvas)-Add a **Product List** to a Canvas, select products you wish to `Export` and select **CSV**
* [<mark style="color:purple;">**My Catalog/Table View**</mark>](https://www.canoa.supply/catalog-pro)**-**&#x53;elect the custom products you wish to Export, click the three dots and select `Export`.

1. Open the **CSV** in Excel or GoogleSheets
2. `Save As` or `Download` a **XLS** extensions
   * Note: delete any lines that are above the column headers, unhide any columns, delete columns do not wish to import and delete other tabs that will not be used.

1. Open **Spec**
2. Click `File`>`Import`>`Microsoft Excel`
3. Assign columns from the Excel File list (first column) from the Spec list (second column) to create the list for import shown (third column)
   1. Example: Match **SKU** in the Excel List to **Part Number** in the Spec List

1. When you are done matching all of your columns, click `Ok`
2. Congrats!  You imported your Canoa products into **Spec**.
