# How to switch between accounts

If you have signed up for your own account on Canoa and have been added as a user to other Canoa accounts, you will be able to easily select and switch between those accounts while logged into the platform.&#x20;

1. Sign into Canoa.
2. View the **account switcher** at the top right corner of your screen where you see your account name.
3. Select the **drop-down menu**.
4. **Type** in the name of the account you would like to work out of, and then click on the account to switch to it.

<figure><img src="/files/qf4rNMahSPJ8xPk1Wb4N" alt=""><figcaption><p>View the accounts you are a part of here.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you are only a part of one account on Canoa, then you will not see this account switcher in the upper right corner of the app. The account switcher is only viewable if you have access to multiple accounts.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.canoa.supply/docs/support/managing-your-account/how-to-switch-between-accounts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
