Working with Material Bank
In this article, you will learn how to easily export product data from Material Bank and import as products in Canoa.
Step 1: Launch Material Bank
Open a Board in Material Bank.
Select the products and data fields you wish to bring into Canoa by selecting
Customize Export.
Step 2: Export Data
Select
Export.Select
Download CSV fileThe CSV should be saved to your downloads or folder of choice.
Optional* Step 3: Open a spreadsheet program to format your data
Open the exported CSV in Excel, GoogleSheets, Airtable or your preferred spreadsheet program to update fields to match Canoa’s format.
Refer to the Product Data Template for approved fields and update before importing into Canoa.
Step 4: Launch Canoa to import your product data
Open a Canvas (shown below) or Catalog Pro.
Upload the CSV file into Canvas or Catalog Pro.
Match the fields in the CSV from Material Bank with the Canoa provided fields.
Once imported, you will be prompted to add the product cards to Canvas.
The products will be automatically saved to your Catalog for use time and time again.

How to use your newly collected products in Canvas:
Add additional product information, images and 2D drawings by
right-clickingand choosingView Product Details.Search for similar and complementary products with the AI Recommendations icon in the bottom left corner of your Canvas.
Toggle between the product card view and image view when the product is selected.
Use all of Canoa’s design tools to start creating your mood board, layout, or presentation.
